In 1986 Samantha Pro Stock Racing was formed ( Samantha Racing then ). After some years of spectating at Mantorp Park, the team started to build a Opel Manta for the Street Altered class (SA). Together with a certain girl named Fox ( you know who...) and thats how the name for the team was born. As a matter of fact, there were serious discussions about having the drag chute formed as a giant bra.
Allready as kids with a big motor interest, the minds soon pointed in the direction towards the infamous Chrysler Hemi, and the team concentrated on getting a Hemi race engine. From the very beginning the team decided to build and manufacture most of the parts for the Hemi engine.
The Hemi equipped Opel was raced to 1990, and it was replaced with a 1991 Dodge Daytona, which was raced in the Competition class up to 2002. Thru the years most of the Scandinavian tracks have been visited and best result, was winning the Swedish Championship in Competition in 1998.
The interest for the Pro Stock class increased together with the gathered knowledge, the team thought that a class change was possible. In 2002 the team purchased the car and engine from Jari Konola, together with a new team bus. The only thing missing is the new Pro Stock Hemi, but you never know...
Finally in the Pro Stock class, we know that its here we belong.
What are our goals? Well, to compete in Dragracing at the highest possible level, and at the same time enjoy ourselves, Lifes to short to be boring.

1986 bildades Samantha Racing. Efter ett antal års läktarbesök på Mantorp föll intresset på klassen SA och efter lite diskussioner runt en Plymouth Satelit beslöts att en mindre bil skulle byggas. Det blev en Opel Manta och klassen SA, tillsammans med en viss dam vid namn Fox (ni vet vem) som stavade sitt namn med TH och så var namnet fött. Grundidén var att en jätte-bh skulle användas som bromsskärm, motoralternativ fanns ej.
Redan som "moppeburen" ungdom stod det lilla nackhår man hade rakt ut när någon pratade om "elefanten från Detroit", så hemistämpeln mitt i pannan har alltid funnits där. Redan från start stod det dock klart att de största resurserna fanns i att bygga och tillverka själva.
Denna Opel, med sin Hemi, kördes sedan av och till fram till 1990. Då skrotades den och ersattes av vår hembyggda Dodge Daytona -91, som kördes i Competition fram till 2002. Genom åren har vi varit på de flesta banor i Norden. 1998 vann vi SM titeln i competition. Daytonan har till och med körts i en tävling i Pro-stock i mitten av 90-talet.
Med tiden har intresset för Pro-stock blivit allt varmare och i takt med att kunskaperna har ökat har det också blivit möjligt. 2002 började terrängen sonderas i USA efter en Pro-stockbil. När plötsligt Jari Konola aviserade sitt utträde, köptes bil och motor av Jari samtidigt med en ny teambuss. Det enda som nu saknas är den nya Pro-stock Hemin. Och vem vet? Kanske en dag...
Nu när vi är i Pro-stock känns det som vi äntligen har kommit hem efter en lång resa.
Vad är då vår målsättning? Jo, att köra dragracing, så seriöst som möjligt, på en så hög nivå som möjligt och ha så kul som möjligt. Livet är för kort för att ha tråkigt.
